ComponentDetails to establish before fabrication

H-section Beams & Columns

Section geometry, plate requirements, stiffeners and connection details. Two light and heavy H-section production lines support this work.

Box Columns

Section dimensions, internal plates, connection interfaces and welding access.

Steel Trusses

Member schedules, node details and the proposed division into fabrication and transport assemblies.

Crane Beams

Approved member geometry, stiffeners, connection holes and interfaces with the crane system.

Structural Bracing

Member lengths, end connections, hole positions and identification requirements.

Purlins & Secondary Steelwork

Profiles, lengths, hole layouts, connections and the specified finish.

02 / DRAWINGS & DETAILING

Resolve the Details
Before Production.

Tekla Structures and CAD support our detailing and fabrication coordination.

INPUTS

Start with Your Available Information

Assembly & Member Handling

Coordinate plates, members and connections before release to the next operation.

THE PRODUCTION SEQUENCE

Equipment, people and inspection points work to the agreed drawings.

  1. 01

    Material Preparation

Establish grades, plate and section requirements, quantities and material identification before processing.

  2. 02

    Cutting & Hole Preparation

Prepare plates and members to the fabrication drawings, including the specified geometry and hole layouts.

  3. 03

    Assembly & Welding

Bring members, stiffeners and connections together against the approved fabrication details and welding requirements.

  4. 04

    In-process Inspection

Check the relevant dimensions and welds at the stages agreed for the work, before affected components move to finishing.

  5. 05

    Finishing

Apply the agreed surface preparation and treatment system, with project-specific checks defined in advance.

  6. 06

    Identification & Release

Coordinate component marks, inspection records and packing information before the steelwork is released for dispatch.

04 / SURFACE TREATMENT

Specify the Finish
Your Project Requires.

Treatment selection, preparation and acceptance requirements are agreed as part of the technical scope.

PREPARATION

Shot Blasting

Define the surface preparation requirement and its relationship to the specified coating system.

COATING

Painting

Provide the coating system, required layers, film thickness and inspection criteria for review.

PROTECTION

Hot-dip Galvanizing

Identify the members to be galvanized and confirm the treatment requirements against their fabrication details.

05 / FABRICATION HANDOVER

Agree the Records
with the Steelwork.

We can provide inspection and fabrication documents to the agreed project scope. Confirm the document list, inspection methods and acceptance criteria before production.

Review quality & certification ↗
  • Material certificates and documentation
  • Welding and qualification records
  • Dimensional inspection records
  • Specified non-destructive testing reports
  • Surface treatment and coating records
  • Member identification and packing lists
Factory visits and third-party inspection are welcome.Include the proposed inspection stages and visit timing with your requirements.
